Day 2 - paradise

Bali is paradisiac I've never been in such a place! The airport was the first thing I've noticed to be extremely Balinese style. The whole building is absurdly beautiful all filled with statues and plants, it looks like being in the middle of an industrial massive jungle, with plane as birds.  One thing I totally love is to travel at late night, so I can go to my hotel, fell asleep and woke with thousands expectations and very positive energy! Discovering a new world around me ! Johan our friend's driver come and picked us up welcoming us in super warm Balinese way!  We talked for a little during the journey, both my Francesco and I were really tired. Johan explained us few things about his yet to discover beautiful island, he recommended us where to go, giving us tips for trips around Bali! After a short drive we arrived at the Hotel that I've booked the previous day, in a total rush, realising I didn't book anything for the first night. I thought it was goi...

Day 0 - time to pack

Is time to start packing! Eventually after 5 months of work and life in Sydney, we are ready to start to get ready for our first long trip! I'm beyond excited. I've been dreaming about Bali since always. Probably, what made me the most dreamin about was the book from Elizabeth Gilbert, "Eat, Pray & Love", consequently the movie had a strong impact on me too, in such a way that I was looking very forward to visit Bali sooner or later. And now ? I'm finally ready to go. It will be such a great experience I'm sure! I can actually say that I've never been in Asia before and Indonesia will be on our list! Our first stop will be Darwin though, we decided to fly there and get the connection at night. Our first flatmate her, Evan told us that in Darwin you can get a closer look on what the Australian society looks like. We'll see. I've got so many great expectations for the coming days, also our last holiday was in Dominican Republic. I guess it w...

Solo

I remember before the advent of an accessible internet for all, how easy it was just to write any thought black on the white and post it on the MSN blog. How fun it was to spend hours and hours looking for animated glitter [silly] gifs, how much I wanted my blog to show myself as a person I really was not. How much I was literally dying to have that punk, gothic, emo style, because it did a lot "difference" to be and feel different. How little I did care about who read it and when. And when casually, through that blog, you virtually met people, that you start calling friends, whom you still have, but you will probably never see. Right now? How complicated it is to get back in the game after 10 years and start to say something beautiful and publish it for the sake of leaving a legacy, having something written and just simply making a point in the world in such a way you never have to turn your back on what you say and write. Many years have passed, but the person you were...

Vivid 2017, incredible!

Immagine
As promised, today I've got a new update, a little post about the Vivid Festival, where I was this afternoon. This festival is where art, technology, design, music and a bit of magic for me, meet together, creating a breathtaking game of emotions. Last night I was having dinner with two of my friends and after we wanted to go to the Vivid, we found out that the lights are turned off relatively early (11pm), so by the time we've got to Circular Quay everything was dark and the air extremely cold, so we had to go back home! Today I woke up and decided to withstand the cold and come back again. It was one of the most magical and enveloping things I've been to. I recommend going after 8pm because I found a lot of families and children and especially if you are a lover of your square meter of living space, as I am, it might be a bit too much. The installations are impressive and the care they are made with is impeccable. Everything is designed for the individual, no age rest...

Welcome to the "new girl", welcome to Australia !

You don’t necessary have to write for someone, just do, yourself is enough.  It's been been so long, new things, travels, I REALLY wanted to write about, but never known where to start off from… Let’s open a draft of a few months ago and see what I can do with it.  "Tomorrow will be the day" I said to myself many times and I will get back onto writing my blog! I feel like I lost some passion ( and patience ) in the recent years and I’m not able anymore to follow up with my words. I guess is just a matter of sitting down with yourself and let the flow of words coming out. I’ve moved to Australia on January 2017, precisely to Sydney. I don’t know what or who made me do this, but after all it's a super nice break, felt deserved, after so many years in London, studying and working hard. ( Just a quick one...  you know, actually as words are typed on the machine, I don’t really care who’s going to be reading this. ) I’ve arrived to Sydney on the 10th of...
There was a time. It was the time of the vintage clothing. The time I was going uni and I didn't have much else to think about. It was the time where I was going through this certain teenage state in which at some point everyone fall in. I finished my BA I'm actually graduated and I should be ready to get to that point for which I've worked so hard in the past years. I'm done. I feel like some interior changes are going on, but I'm still not getting where they are coming from. I've changed a lot. I've got to deal with a different me whom has grown up a bit and learnt new things, but still.. I feel like I'm literally lost. Have you ever felt like you are going through some certain things and you are like: "Okay, I'll do this for a while just in order to give myself a better stability and after that I will sort myself together". This fase is fucking troubling endless. If I can say that. I don't know if what planned for the future it...

When do you finally realise when you reach a good peak of happiness? There are many things. When you look at yourself backwards and you ask to that person what (thanks God ) happened to her that has changed. The answer its easy. People are receiving weird treating that sometimes they think don't deserve. They ask what they have done to be treated like that. I love people. I've always been in love with. I can't think to be bad with someone even though sometimes I could have my reason, but I've just chosen to be like that and I feel it. I believe that "what goes around comes around" so if you do good you will receive. I've always felt like letting new people coming into my life would be try to change some others who have been. I understood that I can keep people in my life as the way they are, for what they are important for me, still keep going with the life. I was at work yesterday and I've asked to two of my customers what they were celebrating...
